Default hydroshield or bypass valve

Im thinking about buying the Rd1990 INJEN cold air intake for my Infiniti g35 but im worried about water getting into my engine . i live in philly and it rains alote. which is better for protecting my engine, a bypass valve or hydroshield?????

Get a intake with the filter under the hood and you do not have to choose either.

I guess I will never understand why people would go with a CAI that has more cons then pros. Plus I'm sure the cons out weighs the pros. I would stick with the stock box and probably go with a vented bumper. I guess it might be more of looks over practicality.

Not to leave on a negative note, but might as well get both since I am assuming you are still making payments on your Z.

I have the CAI, and I've never had a problem with rain, etc getting into my engine, I dont have either of those things

it rains a lot in cincy as well, actually, its raining today

I've read on CAI or intakes in general and it doesn't do much than a louder exhaust sound. Yes, there's possibly a pony gain or short, but a drop-in K&N filter would be just as good if not better. Your best bang for N/A setup would be spacers/Plenum.
