common issues for g35s? brakes?...
buddy of mine is looking into getting a g35, and he said he is reading consumer reports that brakes need to be constantly replaced. I don't believe that. can someone fill me and him in?
I think he's looking for justification to buy something domestic. :[

yeah that is definitely true. I drive an 04 G Coupe with the 6 speed. In 03-04 the manual transmission g's came stock with brembos. I just hit sixty thousand miles and I am putting on my third set of pads in the front. I think its worth it though because the brakes are amazing. Tell your friend to do it. Or if he gets an automatic he wont have that problem.

no problem with brakes on my 04 6spd brembo, and believe me I drive hard here and there. brakes holding up. I'll tell you the brembos are far superior to the 05 and up brakes in my openion, I have not had any fade or warping while pushing her hard.
far superior only with track use, or if you like to repeatedly gun up to 80 mph and slam on the brakes over and over. initial braking of the newer brakes is extremely good and only suffers after braking hard a few times in a short time period.
Yeah I have a 2005 g35 coupe and had to replace both front brakes and rotores at 30,000. I bought it used and the delearship were it was being serviced said they had the problem even once before I did. The 05 and up have a very noticeable shaking when you brake, especially at higher speeds and when they get hot. Ie summer time and excess stop and go. The 03 and 04 with brembos seem to be a better set up.
