youre going to have to remove the shift **** and pull up on the middle console area. then either remove both the panel under the steering wheel and the driver side lighter trim OR just fish the wire through.

with it there are you still able to close your ash tray? That is a great place for it though...very nice. But I am a fan of keepign things clean and stock looking.
Where are you mounting your main unit?

well here is a more detailed dismantling of the whole dash. of course you only have to focus on the parts that i mentioned in my previous post.
i have my v1 hanging below my rear view, used a credit card to route the wire through the headliner and driver side pillar, and hardwired to the driver side lighter. if the remote display is mounted correctly, the ashtray will close. i would help you out in person, but live in san diego. it really isnt too difficult, saves you money, and gives you the satisfaction of doing it yourself. just be careful not to scratch the interior

Yay! That's my car! LoL...
G35TT: The wire goes from the panel to your left of the ashtray. There's a vent by your right foot on the side where you can just pull it off and pull the carpet away and get inside behind the ashtray. You just need to use your "fishing" skills to get the wire into the ashtray.

The ashtray closes and you can't see anything...
Here it is closed
