G35 coupe speedo
Does anyone know if we can purchase an aftermarket digital speed gauge to be installed in the place of the analog clock? I just got rid of my 350Z last month and really miss the speed being displayed up on the center gauge cluster on the Z.
I do not understand why the G does not display the speed up on the center digital display, and have a digital clock on the radio.
Anyone else have an interest in placing a digital speedometer in the place of the analog clock???

There is a reason for the analog clock, it's become a trademark of Infiniti to include an analog clock in all of their vehicles. I think they feel it is a little high class touch to distinguish them from a Nissan. I wouldn't mind if they included something similar to the 3 guages atop the Z dash, however you have to keep in mind the G is a luxury coupe, not an all out sports car.
I am glad that the tach is on the right and the speedo is on the left, as I find the tach is something I want to look at more frequently. Having my left hand on the steering wheel, and right on or near the shifter, the tach is unobstructed, while my left arm partially blocks the speedo.
Maybe you should look into a Corvette with the HUD that projects the speedo out in front of you on the windshield, then you can always know whether you are going 75 or 76 in the 55 zone.

That does look sweet.
Hey, Jason did you ship me back a set of G35 coupe clear corners??? Just wondering if you have received the G35 sedan clear corners I sent off last week.

Why would you want to take out the analog clock? That is one of the best features of the car. It adds a little class in this otherwise digital world. That was the first thing my dad noticed and he said, "Wow, now that's class."

WOW, OUCH, UGHH - how can you say that....?
It is a luxury car - but, it is indeed an all out sports car. There are many "sports cars" that I have toasted on the tracks.....

The G is definitely not an "all out sports car"
"toasting" a sports car on the track does not define the G as an all out sports car. That would be like saying that a Porsche Cayenne is an all out sports car because it can beat a Miata at the track. SUV = all out sports car??? I don't think so.
It is very easy for me to say the G is not an all out sports car. The Z is the all out sports car in Nissan's FM platform stable. The G gives up a little of the performance of the Z in exchange for a little cushier ride, a backseat, and additional amenities. Hence it's not an all out sports car, despite having most of the performance of one, especially in 6MT form. Hence the reason I have owned 2 of them, they give me the performance I want, without the sacrifices of an all out sports car.
I didn't mean for anyone to take the statement to heart as somehow degrading the car.
