Getting ready to open up my headlights to paint.... and I'm not sure exactly how to do it. I have the thread in my subscriptions... but with driver down....


I think it's oven temp 375 for 10 minutes, but before I melt my headlights to puddles and burn my house down, I figured I'd ask to make sure.

instead of using a oven u can use a heat gun...it might take more time but its safer imo

 

If your questioning - My advice would be dont do it at all. I've heard 350 degrees though, not long though

I have done mine 5 times. 1st was halos, 2nd was halo fix, 3rd was S2k projectors, 4th was TL projectors and 5th was TL color mod (6th will be ZKW lenses). 200 for 12-15 min and they come right open without the worry of high temp. Same to close them.

 

Yep. 375 makes headlights smoke.
