Try mashing the gas pedal. I always get black build up in the exhaust tips. I had the Injen since Dec of 04 and I drive it hard. The ECU learns your driving patterns.

I have found most of the black stuff comes at start up when the condensation caries out the buildup on the cats.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I've had the Injen CAI car for about 6000 miles and I get the black in my pipes but if I clean it out, it does not always show up right away.

"Raccoon pump stickers do you have" ???

I only have the Injen exhaust. Maybe because of the 100oct you dont get black build up? I dont have raccoon stickers lol Said that because they get attracted to my bumper.

Why don't you get a Wideband o2 before making inferences? Don't assume you're running lean just because you have no carbon buildup on your tips. It takes quite a few miles to do so.
