Everyone forgets about the JDM Esprit one for 400-500 bucks for a plastic spacer. I like the spacer idea though, can take it out when i get my car smogged too if i want. Do we need the strut bar spacer if we get a engine damper?

...
No need to JACK people on price for something that isn't worth it, good luck on your 900% profit margin product but it isn't going to fly with a lot of people [/B]
Yea, it's so ridiculous that over 40 people already signed up for the spacer group buy on the G forum and it's only the FIRST day. Enjoy your non-stock looking plenum at more than double the cost with only marginal gains...

I'm in partial agreement with you but I'll bet ya an aluminum plenum spacer that if they sold them at $150.00 to $175.00 a pop there would be a hundred people in the group buy at this point, not just 40.

Bump for a cool product!(at $175.00, not $200.00)

that is an absolutely rediculous price for a spacer that crawford is selling at 29 bucks....crawford could probably make their own angled version similar to aam and still sell it for under 50 bucks.

no way would i pay that much for a spacer....crazy...don't care how much hp it makes. thats what aam is basing their price on for sure cuz it can't cost that much to make. aam should reconsider their cost on this....i would buy it for 50...but no more than that!

i will wait for a copy to come out....can't be too hard to duplicate....your bad aam....nice product but way overpriced imo

Crawford could have but now since they decided to play the slander game they can't do jack about it except for watch their plenum sales drop like a rock. You sound like just about every other Crawford cheerleader that I've heard

Of course it's different, but he was asking for a G35 group buy on a spacer. There it be.

EDIT (MB): Racist comment removed. This stuff isn't allowed or called for.

If you do not like the price simply do not buy it!! It's just that simple... Stop wining about it already and go make your own. Do you ever look at other things that are sold that are marked up 300% or more? Come on this crap really gets old on this forum...

ok, im going to dyno the spacer and the crawford v5 and a combo of the 2 and all the different sizes on my car. this will be dyno day #2 for the spacer. we'll see how much power it really makes and end these annoying crawford is best threads. no offense to crawford. you're products are great, but you have some ultra-zealous cheerleaders that really make your company look bad.

screaminz

You are a fool, a complete and utter fool. To say what you said, you have to be.

I am a member of the Jewish Faith, and I take great offense at what you posted.

BTW, this thread seems to be deteriorating rapidly.

I echo your sentiments Lou, and asked that it be deleted by the moderators, which it was.

There is no place on here for that, and I know that the vast majority of the board would not make such a statement, nor condone it. I have never seen anything like that in my entire time here.

Randy

A further display of ignorance.

It's not the term that's offensive, it's the context in which it was used.

yeah it's about volume....sure...see how long that business model nets you a succesful business. In business, it's margin AND volume. The two do not operate in their own respective vacuums. Look how many "online performance shops" opened and closed last year alone. "Volume" might work for Wal Mart, but its much harder to net in this business - harder still when you talking a low production car like a Z, and lower still with a specialized product like this. How many do you think they will sell? Maybe 200? How many Crawford plenums have been sold? I venture to say a lot less than 500. Now, you go to a manufacturing plant in Taiwan or China (where everything being mass produced on a budget is being done nowadays) and put an order in for 1000 or 10000, then yes, the price would drop exponentially. Given the limited market for this though, and given the known costs for making such a part (I've already done my own once), the price is inline with what it would take.

All this "I can do it cheaper" talk is amusing....go do it! You guys who think it's so overpriced, you wear shoes right? And jeans? You sitting home on the weekends and knitting that stuff yourself? It's just a shoe right...some rubber soles and leather...how hard could it be to make? A Shirt....dude's its and cotton..thread.what could be easier? Seriously......

Internet MBA's aside, let them sell what they are selling.

That Hondata piece is very nice and trick, but its a gasket, not aluminum...might want to check the price of raw materials before you jump to conclusions as to what it "should" be sold for.

Your Injen example is better, though given (to my knowledge) everything they make is done in China, it's still a different story. These guys invested the money in their own equipment, have their own shop, spent their time and money figuring out a setup they felt comfortable selling and are now offering it.

At what point are moderators going to step in and do something to stop the insults people like to fling around....it's getting old, and frankly very annoying. The lact of tact on this board is severly distasteful. And a perfect example is screaminz's post - guess now we have to resort to distasteful language in order to make a point? Thankfully enough people are normal and reported it.
