It's a torx socket. Tough to find outside of an auto parts store. I ended up having to buy a complete set of 8 or 10 from Advance Auto just to use the smallest one for those bolts. Fortunately, they only cost $11.

I also saw that http://www.performancenissanparts.com sells the gaskets in large quantities, give them a try maybe?

?
Those studs are too short to use anyways, I used a vice grip( Warning be careful, grab the stud as far down as possible) to get the studs out and hen I put a bolt in their place, I believe the bolt was a 40 mm bolt. Having alot of 40 mm bolts laying around really helps by the way. Pesonally I felt that some of the stock bolts or the shorter bolts (25mm) that were included in the kit were two short. I believe you need three 60 mm bolts, four 70mm bolts, and the rest can be replaced with 30 and 40 mm bolts. I did not feel that any of the stock bolts were very useful, when I put them in they didn't go all the way through the threaded holes.
I'll be installing this tomorrow and I want to know if these are the right size bolts to replace the stock bolt?!
3,1,6 = M6X75MM
5,2,4 = M6X60MM
7,11,12,13,14,8,9,15,16,17,18,10 = M6X35MM
3,1,6 = M6X75MM
5,2,4 = M6X60MM
7,11,12,13,14,8,9,15,16,17,18,10 = M6X35MM

The stock bolts are too short !
And the bolts I received are not enough to replace all the shorter stock bolts

I have not installed the spacer yet…
What AAM is suggesting in their revised instructions is;
10. Place bolts into center of plenum.
a. Begin to thread bolts by hand.
b. Bolts 1,3,6 are M6x60mm
c. Bolts 2,4,5 are M6x45mm
d. Revision: Replace bolts 1,3,6 with the supplied M6x1x75mm. Position the Standard washer against the head of the bolt then the O-ring washer.
e. Revision: Move the M6x60mm bolts to the front holes 2,4,5.
11. Insert bolts 11 through 18 into the appropriate holes.
a. Begin threading them in by hand.
b. Bolts 7,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,18 are M6x25mm
This is what I may do just to be safe…see illustration
I've received (3) 75mm bolts and (6) 30mm bolts from AAM. I will probably use those along with (6) new 35mm bolts for the front.

i guesss i'm just a bonehead....those are the same one's i just used on the header studs....
thanks bro.....03 seconds....smart ***
When i installed it, I felt a lot more torque and faster revving up to redline, just seemed to make the engine breath a lot easier and made it a lot funner to drive. Seemed easier to get those 2nd gear chirps again. I do have a lot of exhaust bolt ons so maybe this is balancing my car out better. I didn't reset the ECU, just let it self adjust.
For the install, it was pretty easy, the bad thing about 2002/early 2003 Z builds is that they used ***** bolts for the strut bar. It's easy to strip the bolt heads on these early model Z's so i had to drill some of the heads off to get the strut bar off. When you install the plenum spacer, once the center bolts are in, the side screws are easy to get on. The oem specs are only like 7in lbs or something like that, not even ft/lbs, so be really careful if you use the stock shorter bolts. You should be able to get the plenum back on tight enough with the supplied screws. I've been running without long bolts till today, just put them in, still running great. I don't think you need loctite, but i would check the screws again after a couple of weeks just to make sure they are still tight. If you are worried about anything flying off, you shouldn't, theres like 18 bolts holding this thing on.

Thanks for the detail review Islandsnow!
I am not really good at mechanical things
The instruction says " place washer with intergrated o-ring below bolts"
But I just don't understand what it really means!
Where should I put the O-ring washer?
Is it inside the plenum? or on the surface of the plenum?
What sizes longer bolts did you use?
I am still stuck in the middle of my install, cannot drive my car for 2 days already
