Default JWT Pop Charger

I'm thinking about getting the JWT Pop Charger but I have a couple of questions for people who actually have one.

1. Under normal driving conditions (I'm 52 years old), can you hear it?
2. My Z is a 2005 Touring, does a Pop Charger installation have any affect on the warranty?
3. Does the Pop Charger affect gas milage?

My limited research indicates it has a whistle at higher RPM's but is very easy to install. I currently have a K&N drop-in filter but logic would dictate, a high quality filter, letting larger volumes of air through would be more effecient.

Any help would be appreciated.

1. You'll only notice it once you go over 3krpm
2. I wouldn't think so
3. It would probebly improve you gas mileage slightly

1. Most people love the JWT because of the price and sound it gives.
2. No. Your dealer is retarded if it they try to say that.
3. It might take a dip because your always revving higher to hear it.

Cons, lots of folks have the car die when going into neutral and coasting, and some folks get the CEL light.

Best bang for the buck though!

don't you think an air filter that lets more air filter in would probably let more dirt in as well?

You have to think out side the box,

It's easy to make a cheap filter that filters well but doest flow very well.

However in order to make a high flowing filter that also catches all the dirt if not more then the stock filter then it takes more R&D aka money.

I HAD a jwt but sold it too a member here.
under my "normal" driving condition i could only here it slightly with the windows down.
with windows up i do not.

warranty, no it definatly shouldnt affect it but wouldnt suprise me if the dealer tryed to say it would (so keep the original for dealer visits)

Gas milage. didnt change a bit for me.... except for like armatage said about reving just to hear it. heh

funny thing is.. after i sold it now that i know what to listen for i can hear the OEM box making the same hiss lol.

Okay, that makes sense, especially with those glasses you're wearing, I will believe what you said. However, do we know that the JWT popcharger has that R&D to make it a freeflowing exhaust plus catches all the dirt? I am not sure that was established or not, just asking. I ordered the jwt popcharger already.

I love mine. the sound is great at WOT and above 3k on the tach. Only had mine for about a month before I left town ( have'nt driven in 2 months UGH!). I have'nt been able to tell gas mileage difference cause I am in it all the time but it seems a little better.
