Default Alphawerks vs. DC Sports

ok guys, lookin for some headers......ive heard the alphas are the way to go for the money, however, are they worth the difference over the DC sports, which can be found for 450 or so in Stainless brand new? so, about 200 bucks more for alphas. worth it? suggestions?

Ask yourself if $200 is worth at least 6 more hp and you've got your answer.

You should be comparing the alphawerks vs topspeed (basically the same as DC). I will argue to my death that there is NO difference between the alphawerks, topspeed, or DC headers. Now there is a price difference of 650 vs 280. IMO the topspeed are the best bang for the buck in terms of headers

The crawfords are the best, but very expensive.

You can only see so much from pictures, and dyno's do not lie.

Different dynos, different cars, different altitutudes, different gas, different trannys, different temps, different etc, etc, etc.

You can buy what you want, it's your money.

actually dynoes tend to lie very often

I've watched cars gain 15whp from letting the car cool off...I know for a fact alot of companies use this trick, and claim that the gains are from their product

there was an article by Dinan showing like a 100 rwhp difference by altering dyno conditions on same car. Dynos can tell whatever you want..

some people are actually dumb enough to believe that out of 2 identical headers .... the most expensive will produce the most power...

where are DC sport manufactured?
where are alphawerks manufactured?

I wouldn't be surprised they are outsourced to same company in china

It was a hot and humid day when this was done, the only reason you would let it cool off is to prevent heat soak, which I doubt they did.

The Nexus headers are Alphawerks-modified headers (Alphawerks are JDM only).

Bottom line, the lowest gains i've seen for Nexus headers are still a number that DC Sports has not even touched as far as I know.

Nexus gets Alphawerks headers (exclusively) and modifies them for USDM spec 350Z's.

Ive got these whish are th Top Speed headers. They look as good or better in person as they do in these pix I took prior to my install. As many have said befor, these are identical to the DC Sports headers. If you are strapped for $$$, go with these for about $300. If money doesnt matter, go with the Crawford ones for about $1200.
