Default Intake Plenum

Is it worth getting the crawford plenum seeing that u cant use the stock strut tower bar or the engine cover or should i just go with a kinetix? which is better and gives more hp gains. also can u tell me where i can purchase either of these?
thanks

I have the Kinetix V4 plenum right now and I have no problems with it. Gave me good gains and loving it. Also, if the plenum was to ever break, crack, melt, etc, they offer a lifetime warranty on it. =)

i have had the aam spacer and now i have the crawford cast plenum. imo, the crawford gives a little more power.

there are no vacuum leaking issues on the top plenum bolts (6 each) and no hardware issues because of added material thickness that you get with the spacer vs the plenum. the crawford plenum does not add thickness therefore you use the stock hardware.

the crawford strut bar is of great quality and if you want to keep the engine cover you would have to modify it slightly but it would work

as mentioned, the crawford crew is great and these guys know their shiiiat. k

The Popcharger is an air filter setup.

The plenum is the "intake manifold" atop the engine.

See links:
Plenum: http://www.crawfordz.com/plenum.htm
Popcharger: http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/customer_results.asp

They are both excellent mods.

Fairlady

You're right the Crawford tubes are not normal length, each tube is 26". However, they are bundled so that the header fits in the same space as an 18" tube header or a normal exhaust manifold. So yes, you can use normal or hi-flow cats or test pipes with them.

For their plenum you can use your stock engine cover if you cut it to fit, and for the strut bar you'll need to use theirs or the stillen.

I read somewhere that the APS strut bar would fit with the Crawford plenum. Is this a fact?

Kinetix has had it's share of problems but they ALWAYS make sure the customer is happy. I've seen cracking, melting, exploding and Kinetix always offers a replacement free of charge. With their latest revision I have yet to see any major issues so you should be fine. I would wait to see what 350EVO has to offer though before you plunk down your money on any plenum.

I bought it from another member and never got any rubber bumpers. Does anyone have a pic?

Get some 3/4 inch wide self-adhesive black weatherstripping from a hardware store.

Cut 2 pieces about 2 inches long and attach to the hood where the rubbing occurs.
