Default Oil Residue in Intake Manifold

I am installing my fuel system and injectors and noticed oil in my intake.

Is this caused by blowby and the PCV system? Will a catch can fix this? Can I vent the catchcan to the atmosphere, or does it HAVE to go to the intake, pre compressor?

Yeah I have the same thing in my car and it is NA. I installed a cusco oil catch can and it has decreased dramatically. I got the catch can from www.z1auto.com.

P.S. Since mine is NA I vented the opposite side to the atmosphere using a breather filter.

I noticed a little in mine when I installed the Crawford too. Somebody has a thread on here about putting a puke tank on a Procharger set up w/pics. I'll do a search and see if I can find it again for you.

Thanks for the link. The fuel system is coming along, I got the rails and injectors installed. Now I have to make some custom lines among other things, of course.

No problem. I found somebody's homepage the other night where they had taken the stock rails and tig'd an fittings onto the end of them and made a return fuel system. They used quality stuff and a good regulator and it looked pretty good. I may look into this. I also talked to friend of mine who has access to cnc and he thinks if we order the fuel rail material he can make me some rails. I appreciate the offer on the fuel rails I'm just trying not to spend a lot more on the car cause I need a bigger shop more than anything. Keep us updated though!

I ended up getting them from John Isbell, for $265 shipped.

What can I do to clean this up? Is there something that I can spray on it that is safe for the engine? I will try to wipe up the majority of it, but I can only imagine what my valves look like.
