Turn of events...
The stock 350Z we were going to use is no longer...
Does any one have a stock 350Z who would like to get a free baseline dyno on Thursday between 9-1pm?
If so please PM me...

Jason,
I am personally interested in the fitment of the airbox/shield. I had issues rubbing against an AC line on one corner and the back edge of the box being too high and causing the hood to bulge a bit on the intake side.
Please review the fitment as vigorously as the performance piece.
thanks

I say screw the lap time, reset the ecu, then baseline
reset the ecu , then test intake.

Yea!
I am glad to see people requiring a pre/post ECU reset as part of a dyno test control!!! Whoo Hooo! Its really needed!
Taking the car off the dyno is less than optimum, but if its really required, be careful to roll it in and strap it down the same as it was before.
Watch that fan position/settings too!
EDIT:
Engine coolant temperatures too! Very critical!

Yes i agree, and keep it on the dyno while reseting the ECU.
I would suggest the following:
1. Drive car onto the dyno, secure it etc
2. Reset the ECU
3. Do 3+ runs baseline
4. Fit the AFE
5. Reset ECU
6. Do 3+ runs with filter
7. Drive the car as long and hard as possible within the least possible time
8. Do 3+ runs a final time (this wont be as comparative as the first 2 runs but would give an indication if the run-in results in gains)
I think with that stategy the results would be as "correct" as they can get
