headers
IMO, Borla is the worst choice for a header fir the "G:" or "Z". They have been proven to make little or no gains. Do a search and you'll find out why.
Best header is the Crawford. Expensive, tough install. No. 2 is the Nismo, expensive, easier install. No. 3 would be the BRM, a Nismo Copy. The rest, Strupp, DC et all are pretty much the same.

Any mod could technically void your warranty. The way its supposed to work though is that the mod has to be the direct cause of the problem in order for the warranty to be voided. Since it is part of your exhaust, there isnt much of a chance that it could really cause any harm to anything. Just dont go to your dealer expecting them to fix anything with your exhaust after install.
I agree with Lou on the Borla and Crawfords, but someone posted comparative welds at the collector for the Nismo and DC. The Nismo's looked sloppy like my $240 set of TopSpeeds. The DC's were much nicer...clean welds and as smooth a transition as can be. The only advantage the Crawfords have IMO is that they are truly equal length headers.
Whatever you decide to go with I recommend the JetHot 2000 coating for longevity and to protect the engine bay.

Most of the equal length headers are 23 inches and the Crawfords are 25 inches .Talked to Doug last year about it . he said they wanted 28 inches , but fitment limited it down to 25 in.

Get the Crawfords, but be prepared to pay 10-12 hours for install labor. Jet hot them too so they don't overheat your clutch fluid.
The Nismo's are not bad quality--the shop that did my Crawford install had a set and they were really nice and are supposed to be an easy install. Otherwise, don't even bother with DC, and other off brands--not worth it for the money....

jethot coating crawford headers still boils clutch fluid
you need high temp fluid and wrap up the clutch line and maybe even get a heatshield if you really wanna get serious with deflecting heat

Anyone have a heads up on full length header options? The only company I've heard being thrown around here is XERD... And yes I want the power up top as that suits my driving style more (I'm an S2000 lover).

as Z BOY mentioned, exhaust mods won't void your warranty. You should not receive any grief from a Nissan dealership if you were to put headers on.
As others have stated, there are a couple of header designs that have shown better gains than other designs. These headers carry a much higher price tag and quality/build is very comparable, and from what I've seen, those gains aren't that much better.
I am partial to the Strup headers as they are of an exceptional quality and design. Yes, they are very similar to the other "imported" headers, but there are differences taken into consideration. These headers have been designed to be as close to equal length tubes as can be allowed with clearance. The only difference is the middle tube on each set is about 2 inches longer than the end tubes. They have also been bent slightly differently to allow the install to be done without lifting the engine. This will cut down on install time and costs significantly over the others.
Where the others will take, as quoted from list members who have done this, 10-12 hours of labor, the Strup headers have been estimated to take only 4-6 hours. The install can also be done by a competent owner as they include step-by-step instructions and extra bolts if needed.
Strup also backs their headers with a 2 year warranty. If anything goes wrong, simply return them directly to Strup for a replacement set! Try to get that same level of customer service and backing from a listing on ebay! ;o)
We are running a special on these headers for the month of August if you are interested:
