The Stock intake tube on the Z is actually a great part! G35 owners put it on their car for a 6.5 HP Gain!

The best intake in most people's opinion on this board is the JWT Pop Charger. It is basicly a Large cone filter with velocity stack and heat shield... $120 plus shipping.. CARB Legal not that it matters for you in Miami, but you wont have to worry about it when it rains!

JWT POP CHARGER

its not hard at all!

very similar to the G35 install in these pictures here...

Then you have the two little screws into the intake duct. Some people do them, some people dont... but they are easy... Take a hot nail and punch a little hole into the duct, will make it easier to screw in the screws...

You will have to get an adapter flange... 4 bolt to bolt the filter on to... You find them on ebay and in hardware stores... cheapy filter you can get one of those... or you can spend $50 on an injen cone filter...

when you go FI... you can re-sell your pop charger for $75-85 easly... Your basicly throwing away the money on the other "ebay cheapy" intake...

I installed the PopCharger i got from Nissan Performance yesterday and you can tell the difference in sound, not sure I feel it much in performance, but it seems to have extra pep in the upper RPMS. The sound is yummy man, i just wanna go drive my car all the time now

Get the Popcharger. I've had it for a few months now and every time, I still smile at WOT. I just sounds so nice and throaty. Everytime my friends are in the car, they are just like damnn.
