Lightbulb SS......R? Intake manifold ? (yeah I didnt mean SSV either)

Kinetix SSV has been the flavor of flavors about intake manifolds for a while now - regarded as the top dog....

But was just shooting around the internet and saw this ....

that one actually loses power for NA
FI it gains up top, but loses a lot down low

that's what I remember SSR telling me when I called them

they did not (and probably still don't) have a dyno

do a search...

wouldn't that pretty much be like the SSV except one more division where the air splits up?

Great idea but I’d still prefer to see the intake and throttle body in front of the engine.

i was thinking the same thing- why hasnt anyone come out with one like this yet? i'm trying to think of the possible downsides (clearance, routing of the intake piping, etc.) but i dont really see anything obvious. i think eliminating that severe bend at the rear of the IM would definitely yield better flow...then again i guess that's why i'm not in the manifold-making business.

350EVO is working on that. Their intake manifold will probalby do that and be made of carbon fiber or something exotic like that. I'm guessing it'll put the throttlebody up where the current stock intake location is
