My car currently sounds like its got a fking 12-cylinder engine in it.

Then again I have resonated straight pipes, a custom exhaust (makes huge difference) and custom cams. Even when it idles it sounds like some kind of beast.

Headers, High Flow Cats, Borla TD cat-back, Plenum. As you might have noticed, the Borla is the re-occuring brand for the cat-back. It's because it's one of the deepest/lowest sounding cat-back and that is what you want.

When I first got my Z, that is exactly what I wanted. I love the slick European look of the 350Z, but I wanted the sound to be a North American muscle car sound. I am 2/3rd fihnished, going to get plenum and headers installed this spring.

Good luck, and I hope you found some of these posts helpful.

Headers, cats, and a true dual exhaust with a little intake and new plenum or plenum spacer. I will get louder but come on American V8 Suck.
