Sometimes we complete a mod, notice problems, and the problem has nothing to do with the mod. That seems to be what has happen here: oil consumption and test pipes are not related.

Bad valve seals
Worn valve guides
Pressurized crankcase (oil pan) due to a clogged breather system
Blow-by from worn piston rings

Its time to get the car to a mechanic.

replace the test pipes with your stock cats and take it to the dealership. I can pull test pipes off in about 15 minutes. It will save you a world of frustration.

I had the exact same problem.

Smoking and burning oil. The smoke is not as bad with the stock cats but still there.

Nissan replaced my entire motor under warranty. I had to deal pretty much direclty with NNA because the dealership was dragging their feet.

They will want to do a consumption test which takes quite a while to complete, I told them to worry about the smoking and fix that. Then while at the dealership the car started to leak oil and that sealed the deal and the next week I had a new motor.

Dont let them give you "We have never heard of anyone having this problem" crap. There have been a handfull of people on this sight with similar problems and I can gie you all me info if you want to use me as a reference for NNA.

Defeinetly put your stock cats back on. You dont want to give them any excuse.

Mine had a cracked crank pulley, which was causing the oil to leak out. It was replaced under warranty. My pressure did not dropped too low, but I noticed the smell of oil, which was very strong, and after a trip to the dealer, they located, and fixed the problem.
