Installing Motordyne spacer without torque wrench?
I received my spacer this morning and just got off work. I was wondering how hard it is to install without being able to torque down. On the paper using a wrench it says the hand can tighten to 90inch lbs of torque or equiv. and with rubber gloves and do about 110.
My concern is what happens if you tighten to tight? or not tight enough? or should i wait and have a mechanic do it with a torque wrench?

Ok well so far havnt needed one and am half way finished with process. Question though, im back at installing the lower plenum... the gasket i took off between upper and lower, do i reuse? The center seems like it would leak without that special gasket? that would also mean im laying gaskets, something just doesnt make sense? anyone please help asap

o and the instructions say without using torque wrench that a hand can do about 90 inch/lbs and hand with rubber gloves can do 110 approx... so i should be fine without one, im just stuck at this middle gasket dilema, the thermal gasket is already on, im talking about the middle gasket u get to

I just went to auto zone to get a torque wrench and the one they had we like 160-900inch (or something like that). The other ones were ft/lb. I told them what I needed and they were like don't waste your money on that. Just use your hands and slight turn with a wrench. ???

sorry, but I wouldn't trust the mechanical advice of the guys who work at autozone, checkers, etc anymore than my girlfriends taste in movies. sears should set a micrometer torque wrench that will be within the correct range. otherwise go online and shop around. I got one from these guys. it was cheap, it works well, and the customer service was excellent.

All the auto part stores have a inch lb one, but they don't go below 100 lb setting. (cheap ones oh well)
This is what you need.
