Default Topspeed pro-1

I have a bone stock Z and I wanna get the topspeed pro-1 exhaust, besides loosing low-end torque...what are other disadvantages would I have to put up with? Any other suggestions on other exhausts with a budget of 1K?

...
u'll have the loudest exhaust in 350Z history... thats probably the only drawback...
if u dont care about torque (i dont care either because i think our cars r equiped with too much torque - stock) there isnt anything wrong with going 3" piping... more exhaust gas out

Hah, the exhaust isn't THAT loud, but it will **** some people off I'm sure if you go reving down a residential street at 3am. There is some noticable torque loss, but after you hear the exhaust, you wont care. There's a link in my signature to a video I made with my pro1 exhaust. Cheers.

Yeah it's not really all that loud... hehehehehe j/k it's pretty darn loud actually. You can hear the acoustics & building vibrate at my work when I revved WOT. But nothing beats the Holy SH#($Y# or the OMG WOW reactions when they hear it.

toqueloss is caused by 3 inch piping = less backpressure
no backpressure = less torque but great for expelling exhaust fumes aka more whp up top

you lose out a pretty good amount of low end. The sound is incredible though. If you plan to stay N/A, I would not recommend this. The factory VQ is a very torquey motor and its not too much at all. If you want to get an exhaust for performance more than sound, go true dual with a smaller diameter piping like the HKS TI Dual Exhaust. But no matter what kind of exhaust u get, you will always lose out on the bottom end period. But with topspeed I feel like you are losing too much.

The HKS TI Dual Exhaust is the latest rage. Suggest anything else and you will be cast into the world of out-of-touch will cool exhausts. If you do not like the HKS, wait 6 months until a new exhaust is crowned the best.

I have the Topspeed Pro-1 3" on my car but I am turbocharged. It's increadibly free flowing. They make the Topspeed Pro-1 in 2.5" as well. For $479 you can't go wrong with this exhaust. It is insanley loud... setting off car alarms loud. But the sound is pure sex. I had a guy in a Lamborghini Gallardo tell me my car sounded better than his. The torque loss comes from the decrease in back pressure. The 2.5" should solve that. It looks great as well....

I will look for one for you.... Installation took me literally 5 minutes. The stock exhaust removal took longer.

It doesn't cause any rattles. You can still listen to music, but you have to turn it up pretty loud. There is a fair amount of resonance inside. You can always put the silencers in. It quiets it down alot.

This exhaust probaly saves 30 pounds from the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust is heavy!!!

go on ebay right now. they have one for 300.00. It does not state topspeed but it is the one. Put in "350z Exhaust" in the search engine. You will find it.
