Anyone know why my car seems a bit faster than it should?

I have taken out the spare tire, have a pop charger, and have HKS exhaust. Thats it. I thought maybe my car was lighter than my friend's Z, but I don't think it's more than 40 lbs lighter. Any suggestions on whats up? Could it be that I just run into bad drivers?
You probably dropped about 55 pounds. Taking out the spare and all the tools is about 40lbs and the HKS is 15 lbs lighter than stock.

Hah relax man...

The less people you convince the more exclusive you are.

*whispers* (I'm planning on getting one too, so for now, it "rasps" )

This exhaust has 0 rasp in person. I was thinking the same thing before I ordered it but I couldnt be happier now. On another note with a 3.9FD he shouldnt get spanked like that even with a bad start lol. This clip is the closest I have found to what the exhaust sounds like in person, he is right, audio clips dont justify this exhaust. http://350z.civichatch.com/driveby1.wmv

im with you...ive been waiting to hear this exhaust in person. the only clip ive seen that doesnt sound raspy is diesel's. you should start a thread about that. i called MRC one day to ask them if they had any experience with the HKS...don't remember what they said, but i would drive out there if i could hear it.

Combine the average Camcorder microphone with your average computer sound system and you get distortion at high frequency. It doesn't cover the whole sound spectrum.

It can't regenerate that low rumble. Only way to really capture the sound of an exhaust is to record with expensive equipment: Like Sennheiser or Shure microphones on Minidisc recorders, then to play that stuff back with a studio monitor sound board, or a high dollar home theater system with a killer sub.

OR

Just hear the damn thing in person.
