It really sounds great...especially when you plug the MAF back in. So much louder and tough sounding at 4000 RPM's and above. Is there supposed to be a slight whistling sound as well?

Hummm, I didn't notice any whistling from mine. Maybe that frequency is blocked out due to my poor hearing. Lol !! Or, the stereo is too loud !!

Mine doesn't whistle. Yeah the sound is tremendous. I scared the crap out of some people last night in a tunnel with the Popcharger.

What I like about the PopCharger and stock exhaust is until you jump on it, it's purfectly exotic. When you jump on it the sound is just amazing.

I think I'm going to keep stock pipe straighten out the path a little put in a aftermarket y-Pipe to get a couple horses. I love the stealthly sound. When you get it on, it sounds like you opened up and exhaust cutout or something.

Got both here, just put the pop charger on today too. Took me a little bit longer trying to get those screws into the side of the heat shield... I have a K&N Typhoon, but I didn't figure on it not fitting with the crawford tower bar, so I got the popcharger and will sell the K&N soon...

Sounds great though. I'll try to record it, but I don't have a video camera. I'll just have to use my digital camera on the video setting...

It was a good day to do a little work on the Z. 74 degrees here in MD.

Plus, I had to...I'm heading back for more UTEC NA tuning next week. I wanted to slap my ngk iridium one step colder plugs in, but didn't have enough time.

The "whistle" can only be "made" when you aren't at WOT. Mostly 1/2 to 3/4.

Yes it started w/o the MAF plugged in. Sputtered a bit so I killed it right away and all the lights lit up on the cluster. Checked, and plugged back in and then it fired right up no problems or lights.

i installed mine as well but didnt even mess with the two screws on the heat shield. the shield seemed pretty secure without them. i drove about 100 miles today and checked it and everything seemed like it held up ok.

do u think i should still mess with the screws? I prob will but just wondering. BTW the sound is awsome

I connected the two screws in front of the heat sheild to the opening to the front bumper. I didn't bother with the screws/bolts that connect to the frame.
