Default I'm a girl, help me decide...

I feel like such a girl (which I am not really a girl so hold off on the PM's), but I seriously cannot decide between the NISMO, Stillen or APS exhaust systems. I do not plan on going FI, but if I do it will be the Stillen Stage 2, which I do not believe requires 3in. piping. I am leaning towards the NISMO for warranty sake and it not losing power anywhere, but the Stillen dyno looked really nice, the only reservation is the increased weight, which I do not know would negate the additional power over the NISMO. The APS stuff is just always soo nice, but I have yet to hear it in person. I know this question has been beaten to death, but a $1000 purchase is not chump change to me.

why not give a cheaper exhaust a try then. i have a borla (only have it cause i picked it up REALLY cheap.), and ive driven a car with a stillen exhaust. personally the stillen doesnt really seem worth the money... its not bad looking but the sound isnt really that much different from stock and the power gains are wutever. i honestly think you should just pick up a used exhaust cause the prices are so expensive its not really worth it. there is a guy somewhere on the used section of this forum that is selling no brand name, invidia exhausts. i think its 160 shipped. i mean something like that how can you say no? and invidia sounds awesome, my gf has one. use that money on something else.

Custom exhaust is the cheapest way to go, I found. My true dual 3" was only $500.

I have browsed the classifieds on a daily basis, but have not seen any of the models I am interested. I agree the cost is substantial, but I do prefer one of the higher quality units. The exhausts I listed I have either heard in person and enjoyed or had previous experience with those brands on prior vehicles. Borlas tend to drone and most of the cheaper brands have the same issue or fitment concerns that I would rather avoid. The HKS is a lovely exhaust, but the additional cost and odd look IMO disqualified it for me.

I PM'd several vendors to get some competitive quotes and hopefully I will find a good deal.

I'll sell you a complete brand new, in the box, DNX stainless system for $160 shipped. Part number is 38624. Fits 2003 (and up?) 350Z's with a 3.5 L motor.
Pics below. Yes, it is loud. PM me if interested.
Wait a minute! Did you just say, $160 shipped for a brand new exhaust system? Did I read wrong or am I just in crack?

Loud i, is not an option for me which is another reason I limited my search to the above referenced exhausts. I think I am really leaning towards the NISMO, but the darn stillen is calling my name too. The only temptation with NISMO is that Fujitsubo is soo similiar and almost as cheap, its just the darn big tips on it turn me off.

LOL, been trying to tell you all. $160 shipped is correct and it's real nice stuff. Just know that it is louder than stock. PM me, I'll give you a Pay pal address, when payment is received the system will get UPS'ed out the next day at the latest. East coast and middle of the country people can expect delivery in 2-3 days. West coasters add a day or two. I will also provide a tracking number when the part is shipped.
Hmm that's weird, how come I've never heard of this system before. You happen to have a clip of the exhaust and more pics if possible?

Fijitsubo doesn't come with a Y pipe like the Nismo exhaust and by the time you buy that, it is a lot more than Nismo.

I have seen two stillen setups, and I am not impressed at all by the sound or quality(for the $), so I would say no to the stillen. I would get the APS only if you later planned on going TT, which you said you weren't. On a N/A setup, I don't care for the sound of the APS. That leaves the Nismo. Good quality, good sound and the fact you say you are staying N/A makes the Nismo the obvious choice

why? so you can spend $1500+ for an exhaust that sounds like this:
Drive by:

Donut:

This may not be truelly representative of what the exhaust sounds like, but come on, $1500!!!!!! The nismo is a bargain at under $900 compared to the HKS.

the nismo has the best sound by far for a non-FI setup...definitely see if you can find a used one
