Default I guess this should be posted here

Well took a while because Kinetix was on back order... But I got it, the SSV Extreme Flow Kinetix Manifold

Figured it was better choice in plenum upgrades esp. since I am already boosted.

Before...

Then I got into a accident (rear end'ed my friend the other week)...

I was lucky that the Turbonetics Intercooler was lower than the reinforcement beam behind the bumper.

Also since the body shop was going to be taking off the bumper and stuff I got them to swap out my old intake side piping (which I ruined with Orange Blast lol) and to upgrade my power steering cooler to the one offered by Stillen.

Now that has been changed out my steering fluid no longer boils.

Out with the old...

Having the Fuel Return System did not make this install easy lol.

No clue what the hell to do with these right now.

After a couple of hours...

Sadly I broke this stud, damn I am to strong lol.

And what the body shop did with mounting the Stillen Power Steering Cooler... Placed it behind the intercooler but before the radiator... It still gets air and there is room.

So got to figure out what the do about that open rubber hose line, and right now my fuel pressure regulator is hanging since it was screwed on to the fire wall but I had to let it hang so I could finish installing the SSV plenum.

Can you do it in a hour, yes if your car is not equiped with a Fuel Return Kit cause then you would have the space the stuff would line up better

Guess as soon as I recover from the blow the accident caused me (had to pay for the damage since my insurance deductable is high)... Will come the JWT Combo, tuning, and I guess a new intake manifold since I broke off one of rear stud.

Also I did not un-plug the throttle body since if you do you have to do the procedures and I wanted to avoid it... It can be done, just have to move the plenum around as you unscrew the throttle body from the plenum while still leaving it connected.

Sorry about the accident, hope everything works out.

everyone knows I am not a fan of that plenum and this pic isn't helping change my opinion. I realize the inner parts of the runners are welded, but I would expect the outer part of the runners to be welded as well

Thanks folk, and broken bolts/studs are not new to me LOL, just sucked cause I didn't feel any feedback when tightening it then snap.

You know what, I didn't even notice that cause I looked underneath and saw they are welded... Now you got me to notice it is not above, oh well... Still looks great and hopefully there will be no issues from that.

Looks great Peking. I'll be interested to hear what this does to your tune. You're going to re-dyno yes?

Well yes, except that I have turn the boost controller down (since it is a basic standered one so I don't know how low the boost is now, I turned it as far as the dail would turn)... So this tune should be at a lower psi while still being about 8.5 psi but below 10 psi.

Also going to get a new clutch/fly (Jim Wolf Combo) on my next trip to NC to Sharif and Eric & Co. at CPR to go along with the additional tuning.

Oh and Sharif or anyone else who might know...

Where does the rubber tube coming out of the plastic t-fitting go to? Or can I just buy a straight fitting and not need that other opening/line?

After changing the plenums doesn't seem to go to anything, and the other line connects to the opening/fitting right after the throttle body.

Sometimes, I have to feel my way through this. But I am 99% sure that you just join those two hoses, and get rid of the "T" fitting.

Thanks Sharif, and thanks for the help over the phone... If you didn't tell me were to find the screws I would have most likely ripped the fuel pressure regulator off the fire wall just to get that plenum on
