Default APS TP Fitment Issue

My installer called to inform me that the 2.5" APS Test Pipes I provided to him do not fit on my '05 6MT.

The following 3 issues arose:

1.) TPs are both 2" too short
2.) The rear flange is too large (by about 1" and would not mate with the factory y-pipe)
3.) The support bracket is welded at a very unusual angle

Both the installer and I were speechless. What gives? The only thing that I can surmise is that these TPs were made for an earlier model car. There was a sticker on them which indicated "APS <some part number> 2003". I'm not clear if there are differences with the design of the '05 exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that thought crossed my mind...

the quality of those pipes are TOP notch...I'm thinking the P/N sticker was intended for something else. i don't have any photos--i will at the end of the week. when I do, i'll post them here, for comment.

Nope, they're the 2.5" diameter pipes, I measured them.
