Question Stock Intake

I just reinstalled my stock intake. I figured being in AZ with these hot temps with 2000% humidity it will be good to use the stock box because it seems to be able to draw a little cooler air plus it has the plastic box. I don't know. I had a carbon fiber filter that I installed with a home made heat shield. I think that set up would work in the winter time with cool weather. It's just too hot here. I'm also having second thoughts about installing my TN ST due to it being so hot. Let me know what you al think. Thanks

I think you are exaggerating about the humidity.

I know. It just fn hot here. You are in Tuscon and I'm in Yuma. I just wanted to know if the stock intake would be better for the engine, for now.

davidv...that's great.

jaminkid...while I do not doubt it's hot there, if you want to experience 100%+ humidity you need to vist the southeast sometime.

To ALL: I know I exxaggerated about the humidity but was it still a good choice for the intake or not?

You live in Yuma, AZ.
I live in Baltimore, MD.

But I did live in Arizona for 7 years. 105+ degrees is stupid hot. And heat kills performance, engines and batteries. You can:
Install an aftermarket oil pan with an extra quart of oil.
Install an oil cooler.
Install the OEM plastic intake.

Still it will be crazy hot and I doubt that any of these methods will significantly improve performance.
