It's pre-oiled. The most important thing is to line up the arrows on the tube.
It's not mentioned in the Pop Charger directions.
Avalon last year had the best price by far! Not sure about now!

Exhaust is one story as they vary wildly and can be easily heard from in the cabin... On the other hand, If you didn't listen for the Pop-Charger you wouldn't even notice much difference. Maybe at WOT, but you don't drive at WOT all day long.

Back on base however, the PopCharger makes the Z sound much more "mean" if you can handle the non-turbo 'whistle' it offers as well.
My buddy has a 350Z with an Injen CAI and was stunned by the sound of the pop charger. If you can go WOT at 4500 RPM for two secs and let off, it can trick people into thinking you have a BOV. Anyone who disagrees does not have a pop charger: the single best quick mod for the Z.

if you go to streetfire.net and search for the word popcharger, you'll find a bunch of crap, including my videos...they are dark videos from inside the car and i titled them 350z w/ popcharger

if youre having trouble, let me know and ill send them directly.

there are a lot of people that make stupid comments in threads like these but that little intake modification makes the car sound great. it really growls when you nail it. its worth $120 just for the sound in my opinion.

also, ive had mine on for around 15000 miles and just re-oiled it because it started to look pretty dirty on the inverted cone section (front) recently. the outside (majority of the filter) was not really dirty but had just lost it's oil. this was kind of interesting to me because it made it seem that the majority of the air is sucked through the front of the filter.
