If you're going the bolt on route w/ an 06 then I would advise doing something that will make power. Get the MREVplus kit from Motordyne, which comes with a machined lower collector and 5/16 spacer. Then get yourself a set of test pipes along with a free flowing exhaust and a UTEC. Then take it to Dave at Function Tuned and get yourself a good tune. Don't waste your time with CAIs.. Also pic up a set of BFG DRs..

I have no garage or a place to work with it. So therefor I dont do it on my own unless I go to the hobby shop which I have to reserve/pay for.

So two questions Osix and they are. Will the popcharger not make any gains on the 06 like the previous model cars? Second what are the gains number wise of an 06 with the MREV plus kit and the spacer? I may just not know enough about the MREV+ kit but it seems to be going backwards on a car with already improved breathing. Let me know I'm tuned in!

I have an '06 and just put the jwt popcharger on it. I can't really feel any gains but the sound is pretty good. It really roars at WOT and above 5k RPM. The whistling sound can get a bit tiresome.

I think it's because some people just don't want to remove the whole bumper to clean out the filter.

And 1001 will surely follow until a few independently dyno the thing and get hard numbers that a few have reproduced or close to it. Otherwise its all opinions and people keep searching for the next one. That and the intake mod is something most can relate to and possibly even do themselves. Though the brand is different I think the intake mod question is the most asked question on any forum and search is the most common reply to that sma question on every board. Ride it out or complain it will not change anything.

IMHO

You wont really feel the gains from just a pop.. With the MREVplus kit and the pop you stand to gain anywhere from 17-24 hp at the wheels (something like that). Along with a free flowing exhaust, testpipes, and tune you will be good for high 12's. If driven correctly. BTW these gains with the MREV on the 06 are proven time and time again.. With my bolt on setup on my 06 I made272 whp and 261 tq, uncorrected.. So figure 260whp and 250tq with a correction, WITHOUT a tune.. Just the MREV, testpipes, pop charger, and exhaust.

That is BHP, or brake horsepower measured at the flywheel. You must account also for the amount of resistance that the drivetrain induces on the engine before it reaches the road thru the tires and moves the car.

Usually in a rwd car you have anywhere for a 15 to 20% power loss from the drivetrain.
