hey guys I got an 05 350z and am thinking of putting an ehaust on it. I like the way it is so deep and throaty sounding right now and don't want to lose that. Alot of cars with exhaust that i hear have a bigh pitched weed eater like buzzing sound. I don't want that. I like the way the stock has a similar tone to the mustang. I want to keep that but maybe make it a little louder and more aggressive. Suggestions? Which will give the greatest hp gains?

I search everytime before i do a new post. There is nothing that tells me which exhaust will give me the throatiest sound that I"m looking for. If there had been you two probably would've responded with a specific thread.

Congratulations and welcome.

No one can tell you a exhaust that you will like the sound. No one. Go to 350Z meets. Race with other 350Z owners. Go to autocross. Cruise with other 350Z owners.

Listen. Determine what you like. Buy.

Go to google.com..... videos link... ive seen a few w/ people testing out their exhaust. Theres also a few links on here the people put that have other exhaust for sale and the links for those exhausts show's videos+sound. You arent looking hard enough. Skimming doesnt count.

 

I suggest you go to the Regional forum and ask the other Z owners in your area with custom exhausts if you can listen to their exhaust system. Don't rely on sound clips and/or opinions in this forum . . . listen to it in person.

My intensions are the same as yours!!! I'm going for the NISMO exhaust heard a lot of sound clips + heard lots of possitve talk about this exhaust system. It is pretty much what you are looking for. The stock sound but on roids!!! hahahaha

 

So if 5 people on a forum tell you "X" is the throatiest, you will buy "X"?

Come on now. Do as davidv says, go to meets and find what you like.

 

dude go with an apexi ws2.. its a stock look. the sound is like stock but a little deeper and at wide open throttle it sounds throaty. i am telling you, you will be happy. and price, its worth it
