Default JWT Popcharger problem (HELP)

Hey guys,

This has happened to me twice and was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or has suggestions on what I can do.

Well anyway, the filter part on my Popcharger keeps falling off. Not the whole part including the metal, but the filter comes off the metal and I see it just sitting in my engine bay. This scares me because I don't know how long I was driving without a filter!

Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Lol you mean all this time I thought magic elves were holding it on I was wrong.

Seriously there is a metal clamp that you can tighten to keep it on there. I had to do the same bc mine fell off as well. Plus over time you may just need to check especially if there are dramatic changes in whether

Edit: Yay 200 post yut

The above item(worm screw) should be put around the end of the filter that goes over the aluminum base. After which you should tighten it with a screw driver. This was mentioned in the instructions that came with the popcharger.

Sometimes, if there's too much filter oil on the inside of the rubber section, it'll slip off even if your clamp is tight.

I would get a clean cloth and wipe off the excess oil and then re-tighten the hose clamp.

If you do this, it should stay on.

Well ---I doubt that u left the clamp off but if u did, slap ur self.
Wipe down the inside of the rubber part that goes over the tube with some Lacquer thinner and the tube it self, to remover any oily residue. Wipe it dry and reinstall with a clamp u know is good. make sure it is slid on atleast the depth of the filter clamp area. That should do it.
If its FILTHY dirty a small normal engine back fire will knock them off.

Thanx stiv --I type slo

Just some rubbing alcohol would work too.
