new mods!
I kept my Z stock long enough, and i finally put some mods on this weekend. JWT Popcharger, Crawford upper plenum, GReddy Evo2, Hawk HPS pads F&R
My comments:
Popcharger- HOLY #$%# this thing is LOUD. First thing i noticed when i floored the gas was how loud this thing is at high RPM.
Crawford Plenum- The engine doesn't seem to struggle as much at 5k+ RPM now. I haven't reset the ECU yet, dont' wana lose all the settings on my stereo. I must comment on the build quality of the plenum, not the greatest but it works. In retrospect i probably would go the APS tallboy if i had to do it over again. On a side note i opted not to get the strut tower bar, and guess what? It feels the same as with the stock strut bar.
GReddy Evo2- Slightly louder than stock, with a similar tone/sound. Theres a deep rumble at low rpm when you start moving and starts to fade away at higher RPM (or maybe the popcharger just drowns it out? i have bad ears anyway.) I wanted to start with a quiet catback, since i plan on adding HFC's and headers. But overall i like the sound/tone/volume. Its just loud enough to know i have an exhaust yet not loud enough to annoy me. I love the looks of the two big cans from behind.
Hawk HPS pads- I can feel more bite when i hit the brakes. I drove with the windows down for a bit and i didn't hear any noise. I just washed it the day i got them installed, so we'll see how the wheels (dust) looks in the next few days.
And i gota give a shoutout to Julian and Matt at MRC for ordering & install. When i get my HFC's, headers, and UTEC i know where to go.
here's a pic of my Z up on the lift, thanks to VantageZ for the pic.

Congrats! Glad you're enjoying everything! Looks like you did some research to get what you want.
I have a feeling on the track/road course you will.

Good choice on your mods. You'll definitely notice the dust clearing up on the Hawk pads BTW. After I installed mine, my wheels still look pretty decent after about 3 weeks of driving. They used to be disgusting after about 5 days
No dust? You have to be joking. Mine look great after 3 months, UNLESS I DRIVE IT! There is less dust than the OEM, but it's already noticeable after 50 miles. Ditto on the strut tower bar, you will see no difference, UNLESS YOU TURN! The rest is personal taste, and very subjective. I'm glad you like your choices. At least you didn't go the eBay route and buy everything for $299 after shelling out $30K for the car.
