your looking at the right product then. They are Megan Test pipes, megan makes them for intense is what i've been told. I love mine and they are not loud at all. Welds look good, the stainless steal they use is thinner then most thats why they are cheaper.

I had the IM test pipes for about 20k miles and the resonators started coming apart creating a very annoying sound. They sounded good while they lasted but I upgraded to some Stillens.

I had their testpipes for many miles(9k miles)..never any issues...and YES they are not megan testpipes...
THe quality is quit good actully, and the right price... it costs about 80 bucks to manufacture testpipes anyways so this are at ther right price

I highly recomend them... quit a few of my friends have them actually and they have not had a single issue with them

About the CEL..you shoudl get it if you run an 06 model... 05..maybe...
Just do a quick searchfor the nonfouler fix for the CEL
I jsut recently installed this for a friend with the non foulers rigth away and the CEL never came on... and he has an 06 Z

so... just give darren a call at intense and tell JOrge sent you..believe me you wont be dissapointed

I plan on using these with a stock exhaust for a while guys (selling my nismo) i know the inner diameter is 2.25, what is the ID connecting to the tp from the headers, then to the stock y pipe? Damn, I hate going back to a stock y...thing looked so restrictive, but people have noticed gains with just test pipes and stock exhaust...

yeap TESTPIPES rocks as far as gains...

I think its the same for the stock headers but aftermarket headers have 2.25" collectors, so the intense tespipes fit perfect here... 2.25" INlets and 2.5" outlets
Then you have the INtense Y pipe with 2.5" inles and 3" outless to go the catback exhaust... I dunno why dont you keep your nismo and get this setup of intense Y pipe and Testpipes.... call darren or mike @ intense up and tell Jorge sent you

I'm selling the NISMO because I need the cash cause I'm buying a house. But, also because I want to run Test pipes because i plan on staying NA and need the gains, but I've repeatedly heard the Nismo with test pipes is too loud.

I wonder if 2.25" in IM test pipes, with intense 2.5" y pipe, plus stock b and muffler would be stupid... I will end up getting a JIC light weight single later though...

ok
congrats on the HOUSE btw....
IMO the nismo is so quit it DOES need testpipes to make ti sound good... at least not as quiet as borla
but Anyways.. the stock exhuast is not bad at all... witht he Y pipe and testpipes it shoudl have quita nice sound to it
