just installed kinextix plenum need help...
i installed the plenum last night with my buddy and as we test drove the z after it had a loud wistling sound to it, so we screwed the bolts back on super tight and it stopped it still sound like its leaking air a lil bit is that supposed to happen or whats the noise and the idling of my z is different now i also reset the ecu.....................need input z bros what could be the problem

is there a sequence of tightening the bolts? on the motordyne stuff there is a certain sequence so that you get an equal seal. just to make sure one side isn't tighter and level with the other side i guess

"super tight" is not a torque spec. You probably over-tightened them and are causing the leak you are trying to fix. Follow the instructions...

ghetto? i i live in torrance but it's really LA. i live off of torrance blvd and western. a couple weeks ago there was a girl shot because she was walking down the "mexican" part of the neighborhood.

Did you purchase this brand new? If not then.. You may not have the gasket.. And the rule of thumb for tightening is to tighten with one hand as tight as you can....... Of course using the criss cross method for even seal..
