don't bother. unless you're unhappy with the hfc, the gains will be minimal from switching to test pipes.

I have a minor regret buying high-flow flow catalytic converters rather than test pipes. I assumed that I could not pass the emissions test with test pipes. I was wrong.

At this point in my budget, $200 test pipes and putting the high-flow catalytic converters in the trash is not an option.

I got resonated ones. I believe the non resonated ones will sound louder.

yes, the non-resonated will sound louder, not dramatically louder though. and the primary difference between the two is the slight rasp you get around 3k rpm's with the non-resonated ones. Strup makes a seriously nice set of non-resonated pipes. We have them on sale with free shipping right now for anyone interested.

Here's a link to our vendor classified sale for more information and pics:

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any other questions. Fast easy installation, and fitment is perfect. Get a set of non-fouler plugs at your local auto parts store to keep the CEL extinguished!

Is there an advantage in getting one ( resonated ) over the other ( non-resonated)? How bad is the actual smell? What does it smell like ( ie. gas, BO, a stink bomb).

By having the resonator it cuts down rasp. In some applications completely eliminates it. As far as the smell I have never experienced it personally but I have been told it smells like fuel.
