Question Attn: Stillen TD Owners w/ ZR Single Tips

Well I've had my exhaust for about two weeks now & love it. However I notice that my tips have a gold tint to them. Has anyone else notice this? I am running the APS 2.5" cat-deletes with them. Only thing I can come up with is the heat turning the chrome, gold.

My Nismo tips also discolor ever since I gutted my hi-flo cats a month ago - it's the gasses, carbon, fuel, fumes etc. from the straight pipes (had the Nismo & the cats for 2 years with no tip discoloration). I use my Mother's aluminum polish weekly to get the shine back.....Works like a charm.

I know what you mean....the first time I noticed mine, I thought "What the hell..." I then knew right away it was from the straight pipes. After the Mother's shined the tips back up, I was OK - ha!

Bump! Anyone else having this problem? They are almost pure gold tint now.

Robert,

Im planning on getting this for my coupe in about 2 months.

Can you please give me some feedback of the exhaust?

I'd really appreciate it.

PS. How are the ZR Single tips compared to stock?

I love the this exhaust! It is heavy as though but sound great! I'm running the APS TP so it raspy & loud. However I didn't break the 93db rule for Solo II racing. The Single tips look great! Very much comparable to stock. I've posted vids and pics somewhere. Do a search and you'll find them.
