-Nismo is a good bang for your buck, includes the Y-pipe and not too loud. Very smooth sound.

-HKS is another good choice, very good quality, sounds amazing but a bit louder.

-Injen for some reason Ive never been a fan of, but thats just my opinion, as some people like them. Sounds a little too raspy to me.

Borla and Fast Intention I dont have much experience with.

yup, I have the nismo and the sound is awesome - the way it echos under full throttle is exotic car sound. It has the stock Z sound, just more bass down low and more tuned tone up top, all the way to redline. Startup in the morning is mue nice

Borla has a nice deep mellow tone. Much more aggressive than stock and produces a slightly higher DB at some RPMS and lower at others. Good HP gain, but lacks some in the R&D. Multiple clamp design leaves room for improper installation/rattle/air leaks. If you can get it set up right, it is a kick *** exhaust.

Nismo sound great, and if you dont mind spending the cash to get it, then it would be an awesome decision. Different sound from the Borla, but still qaulity.

HKS has a mixxed bag of emotions. Awesome design and fittment, but some do not like the old school rasp it produced with test pipes/HFC.

The rest i have no experience with, but i am sure you get what you pay for. Break bread and get something worth bragging about, dont, and you will have something you regret paying for.

Here is a clip of my Borla exhaust with Intake, Headers & HFC's. Some love it, some hate it. Good luck with your decision.

And here are some other sound clips, but they are just sound clips so take them for what they are.

Decide what configuration you want. Single or dual. One or two mufflers. That should narrow your choices.

Set your budget, limit your preferences and look for one being sold used. Honestly, the only main difference will be the sound and somewhat the look with HKS. Go HKS, Nismo, TurboXS and call it a day.

Here are some info on the Fast Intentions Intimidator. Tywinter and I have the exhaust. Both of us are also in MD. Can not speak for tywinter since I do not know him, but you can ask me or PM if you want to know more.

tywinter's install thread, good pics, sound clip #36

joe645733's thread with same question as yours, my tidbit #20
https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/263603-deciding-exhaust.html

I have pics from my install yesterday but no sound clip yet.

Disclaimer - Not affiliated with Fast Intentions, just a very happy customer.

Most of your choices are true dual except the nismo.

Why is nismo on your list, I don't understand?

You asked about the relative loudness of different exhausts. You can't possibly trust what you hear on the internet... go hear some exhausts in person.

If you want my opinion I'd go with the HKS given your budget and those choices.

i love my rsr (very nice low rumble)....if you're going to go nismo...might as well get the fujitsubo (thats who makes nismo's exhuaust + its a little cheaper) personally i think twin exhaust looks better
