Differences betweed Injen exhausts (old and new)
I just bought a used Injen SES exhaust from a local guy here in AZ. I got it for what I thought was a pretty decent deal - $320. The thing is, from what I've researched it happens to be the very first version of the Injen exhaust ever made. It's a true dual with angled tips. It's only 4 pieces (2 for each side), which is different from the newer versions that Injen has released - the newer ones have more pieces. If someone has some knowledge about this exhaust, I'd love to hear from you. How does it compare to the new one? Were there any known problems with it? So far the fitment is so so - the left tip is slightly brusing against my bumper and I don't know how to adjust it. It sounds very deep on my '07 and I like the tone. Is this exhaust obsolete and I got pretty much screwed on the deal or will it be fine? I tried searching this topic, but I can't seem to gather anything that would answer my questions straightforward. Thanks alot in advance for your help.

Thanks for the pics guys - I've already seem what the new exhaust looks like. I was asking more about quality issues, performance differences and general info about what to expect from my old-style exhaust.

I think from the description the OP has the first version like the ones pictured here. The biggest difference besides the amount of sections is that the earlier system has removable silencers where as the one posted directly above has them welded into the back boxes.
As far as rubbing, first try loosening up all the connections and moving the back box around to see if you can get it where you want it, in the end you may need to bend the hanger so get it to sit where you want.

Also, I noticed my exhaust has an extra stud on it for a hanger on the driver's side, but there is no hanger there under the car. Is this normal? The passenger side also has two, but both of those have hangers they go into.

I had the same hanger problem, not sure what to do. I installed the exhaust but the tips are maybe 95% perfect. For me I didnt have a bracket for a hanger on the passenger side. I am just going to take it to a shop and have the line them up and hang it properly for $40 or w.e.
