Default injen air intake or k&n

I was looking into buying one of these air intakes for my 350z and i wanted to know which is the better buy. I know the typhoon intake from K&N is pretty good, but i can't seem to find out how much more power the Injen Air Intake gives. Which do you guys think is the better intake, and why?

The second link I posted answers your questions. There is a search button for a reason...

Default Thoughts on Custom Exhaust/ Bought Exhaust

So I have been trying to find a nice single exit exhaust. If i go with a bought one I am going to get the Greddy TI-C single. But if I go custom I was either going to do blast pipes or the HKS Carbon-Ti with 3" custom pipe from the Y pipe. I was wondering which do you think would be better? Also as far as the Greddy exhaust I found it for $584 so not bad at all. Anyway what type of piping should I use for the custom Mandrel or Stainless? And what is a rough estimate on what you would think it will cost. I am going to a shop this weekend or next week to get a quote. Also sort of a side note I want to get a TS diffuser but don't have the money for it now. Will i be able to attach it later if I do a bumper tuck now?
Thanks, Kaleb

unless you go to a specialized shop it prob won't be mandrel bent. if it were me, i would go the greedy route. i THINK you can still have the diffuser with the bumper tuck, but what is the point? might look kinda funny imho

My exhaust kept falling apart or just didn't work out with all the different parts. It became a nightmare. I actually stopped enjoying the car for a while.

Ok thanks. Do you think the Greddy would be cheaper? Also I've looked at cars with the TS diffuser and a single and I like the look a lot. I guess I am just weird. I guess eventually I could just put blast pipes or HKS can on there. The greddy is pretty cheap. Thanks for the info.

What do you mean falling part? Do you mean you should've done no bumper tuck or you shouldn't have gotten a single?

Shouldn't have gotten a single made of different parts instead of by one manufacturer. It was my Frankenstein experiment into the single scene. I've always liked the dual exhaust look, and now I'm sticking with it.

Well I think I am just gonna go with the Greddy, it seems like the smartest choice.

Ok now that I have the exhaust sorted out(i think, might go with Tomei and then just save up again for the other thing i was going to get). I was thinking I could get a nice intake setup. What I was looking at was the HKS Racing Suction(not worried about water ingestion), Arc Super Induction( found it for $648!), Blitz Sonic Power w/ evo-r carbon intake pipe, or Blitz Sus w/ evo-r carbon intake pipe. Which do you think would give the best sound and best all around. I've done research and it seams the Sonic Power gives a nice suction sound and it looks really nice. Then the Arc is super Rare. I kinda just want to but them all but any help would be appreciated. Oh and does the ARC come with an intake tube?

Default Intake Suggestions

Hey everyone so I am fairly new to the Z scene and I have an 03 touring. Now I want some simple, non-pricey mods and was thinking that an intake is a fairly easy and not so expensive route to take. I want decent quality though, nothing too cheap. Is it a difficult procedure? What do you guys recommend?

Default K&N air intakes / hp gains / etc.

EDIT: I guess my thread was moved here. Admin maintenance. I thought I posted it here by accident. Not sure if it fits this thread, but here it is:

I have been looking at K&N air filters and intakes:
http://www.knfilters.ca/search/appse...0Z&engine=3.5L

I noticed they show estimated hp gains, based off dynos.
http://www.knfilters.ca/hp_gains.aspx

I am curious how the heat shielded 57-6013 has an estimated hp gain of 10.65 HP @ 5500 RPM, where the 69-7070TB and 69-7070TP cold-air intakes have a lower estimated hp gain of 7.67 HP @ 6208 RPM?

Why would a cold-air intake system have lower estimated gains than a heat shielded air filter?

Please break it down for me. I put links everywhere in this post for references.

K&N 57-6013 (57 Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit):
http://www.knfilters.ca/search/produ...x?prod=57-6013
http://www.knfilters.ca/dynocharts/57-6013_dyno.pdf (estimated hp gain of 10.65 HP @ 5500 RPM)

K&N 69-7070TB (69 Series Typhoon Kits):
http://www.knfilters.ca/search/produ...prod=69-7070TB
http://www.knfilters.ca/dynocharts/69-7070_dyno.pdf (estimated hp gain of 7.67 HP @ 6208 RPM)

K&N 69-7070TP (69 Series Typhoon Kits):
http://www.knfilters.ca/search/produ...prod=69-7070TP
http://www.knfilters.ca/dynocharts/69-7070_dyno.pdf (estimated hp gain of 7.67 HP @ 6208 RPM)

Note the 69 Series Typhoon Kit dyno charts are the same.

Default Single or Dual exhaust?

-What do you guys prefer?
-What is better for performance N/A?
-Which looks/sounds better?

I see some cars with great single exhaust setups like the STI's and it looks SICK! But for some reason on the Z it looks "weird" to me, I am curious is there any benefit to doing single over dual?

It depends on the side of the exhaust. Me personally, I prefer 2 medium size true duel exhaust oppose to a giant single exhaust. A giant exhaust will sound like chit
