Default Damn you Injen! Argh!

I had just recieved my Injen track edition exhaust today and I was all excited to be installing my first mod on Athena (the Z). I open up the box, look at the pretty titanium tips and go oooooh, check out the rest of the pieces, looks like a good quality exhaust (for the price it better be). I didn't find any instructions, but I figure I'm a technician, I don't need no stinkin instructions for an exhaust.

So, I was almost done installing it at work, I had the drivers side all ready to go, the passenger side muffler was the last thing I needed to put on. I grab it, look at the piping and notice a stud with a nut on it and think hmmmm, I don't remember there being two ground straps. I start putting the muffler up to the piping and I suddenly realize it's another driver's side muffler! I was like wtf m8? So, yeah, they ended up shipping me an exhaust with two driver's side mufflers Funny thing is, I'm not really all that mad, I'm actually kinda laughing about it. I ordered it from a local shop, so they told me to return it and they would get another one for me.

The day wasn't a complete letdown though, I got to have some fun. I started up the Z without the exhaust on and gave it a couple revs, loud as hell and sounds wicked. If there weren't any noise laws I'd probably just go straight pipes. Also, it gave me some practice so now I know how to take the exhaust off in about 20 mins

Just flip the othe muffler upside down and see what happens...

I've got pretty much the same exhaust, Injen True Dual, just not with titanium tips. I didn't get instructions with mine, just had to figure it out. Best sounding exhaust I have heard on a Z... Sexy looking too..

damn yo, ill be honest my exhaust was a ***** to install. I have borla say that says it right there, but if they missed one of my resonators and i had it all toar apart i would be pissed homie. Atleast your keeping a good sense of humor about things. +1 the Injen exhaust does look sweet when installed. Good luck with things.

It's easy, but you need an assistant, at some point. I removed stock and installed FI dual nexhaust this morning.

Yeah, the only real hard part is taking down the huge stock muffler.

Funny stuff. I'll most likely be trading up to the newer Injen exhaust - mine is the very first one that they made with the angled tips. Sounds awesome though

This sounds close to the problem I had with injen. I had ordered the titanium tip cat back exhaust, the box arrived a week later. I was all excited to check out my new titaniums. I opened the box and it was the regular ones, the box and invoice said tt titanium. The manufacturer messed up. I contacted injen and they sent me the correct ones. This ordeal took over a month and about 15 phone check-ups. I also did not get instructions either.
