Injen SES Exhaust vs Borla True Dual Stainless Steel Cat-back Exhaust. Borla has dyno at 16-20 hp, Does anyone know how much Injen gives you?

can someone provide some feedback on the borla TD? I know it sounds awesome, but does it deliver the numbers it promises?

No, very few N/A mods produce the power they advertise, plus you aren't going to be able to feel 5hp so just worry about looks, sound, and cost. GL

It's funny cause I'm in between these two also, I love the sound of the Borla, but I also love the sound of the Injen, it's like being a kid in a candy store...I have also heard the borla leak issues, but most people have said its easy to fix, plus the borla warranty is sweet...lol

it will produce the same whp as any other exhaust on the market. The gain is minimal just like every other bolt on mod, with gains you may notice at first but will blend in after some time. Good all around exhaust once it is installed. install can be a little tricky for an unexperienced modder. Leak problems people associate the exhaust with is usually due to other mod fittment problems putting strain on the exhaust therefore making it crack. More than often this problem is associated with the H-Pipe coming off the cats. Some people who add test pipes, which already have ****ty fittement, put strain on this pipe and over time caused it to crack. Me personally, 2 years with R/T HFC's and Borla TD and no signs of cracking or wear on the H-Pipe or anywhere else on the exhaust. Other than slight rattle issues which were cured some time ago, i have no complaints from the exhaust and totally happy with my decision to go with Borla. (sounds great with my other mods)

Alright,
I would say it depends on what sound you want.
My Buddy's HFC and Borla sounds awesome, it is quiet and a vey smooth low toned sound. Very nice for a different sound without being too loud.

The Injen is the loudest thing I have ever heard. It sounds awesome if you want loud, because man it is loud at no matter what RPM you have it at.

As for the quality both are the same, I have seen both, and both have run with no problems at all on these two guys cars...
Listen to the sound bits.

I believe the fitting and design of the Injen exhaust is superior over the Borla, but that thing straight up sounds like ****. Want to talk about fart can... wow it reminds of the old hatch back civic with the autozone exhaust. Quality of sound is terrible on the injen, but the fitment and look is better than the Borla.

Rattle issues can very from vibration, to knocking to rattling. Just depending on the situation, but is usually due to a poorly positioned clamp, or a pipe that is angled improperly. Once identified they are easily fixed by a shifting of the piping.

no exhaust gives you 16-20 hp...none

that being said, as its been mentioned many, many many times

A Y pipe+ single type exhaust (NISMO, Fujitsubo, etc etc) has nearly identical power gains to a true dual (Borla, Stillen, etc)

Right now I have an IP2 Prototype exhaust, its annoying, really really really loud, lol...probably louder then the injen, I'll have to get a sound clip for everyone, so the Borla sounds like a winner.

I had the Injen ses. (Z was totaled) Easy Easy install. I took it off 2 times. Looks great but normal driving it is really load. It sounds better once you step on it but to work and back everyday it was just way to load. They do make a better version of it that has an H-Pipe but I have no idea how that sounds. I heard that it gives it a more V8 kinda tone. I myself after having the SES Injen exaust would not go back. I am looking at Borla and even Stillen. But on youtube i heard a sound byte of a Megan exhuast with test pipes and it sounded crazy nice. You can pick up a Megan for like $550. Sound is really the only reason to get an exhaust..I myself don't trust the numbers anybody gives. But having a nice sounding Z is fun. Go to you tube and check them all out. Type 350z exhaust.

Youre right about the resonance, it happens at about those rpms you mentioned. But its all worth the amazing sound it makes.

i had borla on my car a long time ago...sold that and switched to injen...gains are gonna be the same no matter which u use. my opinion...injen sounds 100x better than borla...borla was a ***** to install and even harder to get the pipes back apart when i took it off...it sounds like stock, a little deeper but basically the same. injen sounds awesome and looks great from behind. go with injen!
