Installation took about 1 and a half hours, cost me AU$390.
As far as warranty goes, I myself has no idea. Never really care about that kind of things.

First, let me say that I don't think the sound of an air filter sounds like a BOV.
Ok, now on to the rest.
Ricky,
I just think that the short ram setup' sound would be more audible. Having listened to Bimmers with the Dinan CAI, you can't really hear much of a sound, while the exact same model car with an "in-engine bay" conical filter will provide a louder "whistle" or whatever you want to call it. I also feel thought that more cramped nature of the extra CAI piping (against the inside of the bumper, etc.) could eliminate a little of the movement I described for the short ram intake.

I've heard the Blitz on a WRX from the inside while driving. At least from inside the cabin, it sounds like a turbine spooling or some kind of small tornado eminating from under the hood. Probably one of, if not the, most unique sound I've heard from a cone filter.
As a few have discussed in other threads, the one concern I would have is the filtering capabilities of the perforated metal as opposed to a gauze media.
???
