Default nismo exhaust installed at shop *pics*

Hey whats up guys. so i've been reading around the forums, and tried to learn as much about the nismo exhaust as i can. I wanted stock tone, but louder. Here are pics:

here is my review/opinion/critique whatever:

Sound: I don't really hear how it keeps the stock note? the stock sounded a little more...echo-ey. I guess it retains that sound a little. Its definitely louder and i like that.

Power: Like everyone says, you don't really feel the power too much. But are the gains in the low range? Cuz i swear ever since i put this on, it seems that the meter hits 3k RPM alot faster than it did before. (and no i didnt accelerate harder than i did back then).

Price: ehhh i think its a little overpriced. But i did it anyway, so that pretty much sums it up.

Overall, i like this exhaust. But one problem/question. I know at 3k RPM, the nismo exhaust is considerably louder than stock. But at around the 2k RPM, its quiet. VERY quiet. I can't hear anything when im in the 2k RPM zone. For me, the stock exhaust was noticeably louder at around he 2k RPM zone. Just wondering if it seems quiet since im the car. Is it louder if youre standing on the outside? Because from the inside, i struggle to hear anything. But I still like this exhaust. I'll be posting up sound clips soon! (even though this forum might be saturated with Nismo clips).

Nismo exhaust has it's own exotic tone, very nice exhaust. Good little right up/pictures.

Lot's of reports on this forum of Nismo exhausts breaking/cracking test-pipes.... Not sure why that is though.

yeah ive heard that too but nothing happened to my stock exhaust, and im guessing Nismo would be of better quality right? I think it was probably just bad luck that this happened.

anybody have any insight on the sound level? For me, loud when approaching 3k rpm and above it. EXTREMELY quiet when around 2k RPM whereas with the stock exhaust, at around 2k rpm it definitely seemed louder.

That's just the droning of the exhaust. Most cars have drone at 3-4k rpm. There are a lot of exhausts for the z which have no drone whatsover. Some can live with it, some can't.

wait, so youre saying that with the stock exhaust, that loud-ish humming i heard at around 2k rPM is drone? but i really liked that sound...(i keep my foot on the pedal to keep the rpms at around 2k just so i could hear it)

Usually with a brand new exhaust, the sound level seems quiet. As you drive with it more, it will become louder. By how much? idk
