Default Question on exhaust power gains, I searched

Hi, first off, yes I'm new, and yes this probably has been talked about a bit before, and yes, I searched up and down for exhaust dyno threads, comparisons, etc.

My question is this. Assuming keeping all stock exhaust manifolds and cats, what exhausts make the most gains on a otherwise stock Z? These can be with and without a Y pipe add on, as I know some of the light titanium singles don't come with a Y pipe.

I am interested in the JIC titanium for weight alone, but does it make any power at all? I guess I'm wondering if it's out of the question to expect even 5 to the wheels for a quality catback?

Oh and I'd like to keep the exhaust at less than $1200 if at all possible, so no full Ti ARC exhausts.

No, you haven't. Don't know. Don't know. Yes.

Let me see if I understand the question. Ignoring the differences between individual vehicles, which can easily exceed any gains from a catback, making the results of said catback irrelevant, you would like to see the results of OBJECTIVE dynos among the DOZENS of catbacks available for the 350Z. Is that about right? Good luck.

Wow, wake up on the wrong side of the bed today? I'm simply asking if on ONE CAR, did a catback make any power before and after? Relax. Oh and with the "don't know" replies, how about a brilliant idea I just had, don't answer if you don't know.

EDIT: And if I bought one of "those exhaust I wanted quotes to 60631" I wouldn't ask this question...

No, you don't understand the question, move along.

Maybe I'll spell it out for the folks with problems with reading comprehension. WHAT CATBACK EXHAUSTS MAKE THE MOST POWER ON A Z? That should make it easy.

buy an exhaust for looks and sound bc its not likely you will feel ~5 whp or so gains.

Also being so demanding and having anattitude on these boards will not yield the help u r looking for...

All right, thanks, but I'm not being demanding, how demanding is it to want a *general* idea of catbacks that add power? You guys are pretty sensitive so far, lighten up, or if you dont want to say, "Brand X made 6 to the wheels on my 04 Z" then how bout not posting? Seems like this debate isn't adding anything to my quest to answer the question in post 1. That's the problem with forums these days, same thing goes on at bimmerforums.com, people just give unneeded attitude when the OP just wanted a simple answer.

Custom Hytech setup, dyno tuned to your individual Z on their inhouse dyno with 2 techs testing various piping diameters/lengths to service YOUR particular engine combo....which I assume is stock....and it will cost much much more than $1200

For the money the X02 makes significant gains and is of larger piping (2.5) than the HKS (2.3) gains have been seen from 12-18whp from these H pipe configured exhausts......perhaps more if switched to X pipe configuration but HKS is well above 1200 at that point

Turbo XS has a great product as well but I havent seen many dynos on pre07's to confirm numbers

Either way, the Y pipe is a restricion and should be changed with the exhaust, as the cats should be too for even more gains.....optimimum gains will come with tuning as well

For 1200.....I would get OSIRIS for tuning and an X02 dual setup....that should easily make more power and allow for future mods to make optimum power

Do some more searching on OSIRIS.....youll come across many dynos with various exhausts to give you an idea of power production
