well, as far as i know resent studies showed that post like this only help the company. this is why big companies like Dell and Mac have forums. if the claim is a bs it will be corrected by other members and thus generate authentic loyalty to the company.

again, not every box will be opened and inspected. would you open all 300+ boxes and inspect every single Y pipe? No, that's why you have a return policy / warranty.

jic probably has tighter quality control because that's all they do. IM is a distributor / 3rd party. i don't believe they make it in house, they sub it out and when something is wrong, they'll take it back and replace it.

you have to remember, in every production run, even top notch parts aren't 100%. i own a manufacturing shop and we run hundreds of parts at a time, you have to account for error. sometimes they'll catch it, sometimes they won't.

of your poor attitude...if i buy a dell laptop and somehow it comes with cracked screen I would contact them FIRST to attempt to get a new one ASAP, and then comment on the experiences...
now just be an *** and go out on the forums saying...DELL SHIPS THEIR LAPTOPS WITH CRACKED SCREENS

I have a problem with them selling this bs and claiming that it is a good part.

So they replace this $145 ( oh it's $ 160 now ) POS and call it a day ? and you know that all of them are the same quality so it will have to be a different product. but what about my time !!! WTF ! I ordered a JIC ! Pete calls and tells me that this is just as good, i ask him if it really is good, he reasures me , i say " i trust you guys " and hang up.... 6 days later i get CHIT ! FAWK THIS !

true, but in a very unethical fashion, instead of contacting IM about this first and giving them a chance to fix it, you slam them out on here calling their product crap then act innocent about doing so and playing the victim. not very fair IMO

I put the Intense y pipe on my car and right away I get a loud vibration that last for half a second when I hit about 2,900 rpms. very very annoying. I can't wait to get this off my car...shoulda kept the stock y pipe, cause I'd happily put that on right now.

pleas note, that i have restrained myself about commenting on the extremely poor packaging that this product came in, but if you insist. here it is. the box came thrashed... and the 3" gasket was badly damaged.

and yes ! if a laptop shows up with a cracked screen I do get pissed and blame the shipper / and or the sender for poor packaging.

I didnt come in here to talk sports. I understand where the OP is coming from. I am 100% right when I say "QUANTITY over QUALITY", they dont sell these ebay y-pipes for their quality i know that much. It bugs the OP cause a "TOP VENDOR" as you put it was told that the peice was top notch just like the JICs. Putting his trust in the vendor he went along with it. I'd be pissed to if I was expecting something close to JIC but getting Ebay quality.

YES, that's what a replacement policy does! you don't know they're all bad quality. serious, i've seen some nasty stuff from vendors that deal with GE's nuclear division....take it in stride....

if the second one comes in and it's bad again, then get a refund and not deal with IM again. simple as that. lesson learned and move on.

I agree but I would try for a refund more so than an exchange. But then again you'll probably be stuck with the shipping bills.
