Well on the ethical problem I keep telling myself "the name brands don't care about me, even if I buy from them, I don't really matter." so...why should I care about them?

There's some things I'll go "cheapo" on. Bent tubing is one of em. Things don't rust in the desert....so not a real issue here
I agree with your position. So do you currently own one of these exhausts? If so, have you experienced any problems? Would you recommend?

For other uses, see Sweatshop (disambiguation).

A sweatshop is a working environment with very difficult or dangerous conditions, usually where the workers have few rights or ways to address their situation. This can include exposure to harmful materials, hazardous situations, extreme temperatures, or abuse from employers. Sweatshop workers are often forced to work long hours for little or no pay, regardless of any laws mandating overtime pay or a minimum wage. Child labour laws may also be violated. Sweatshops may be compared to the factories of the early industrial revolution in countries such as the UK and US, where regulations were few and far between.

Though often associated with third-world countries, sweatshops can exist in any country. Sweatshops have existed in several cultures, including Early American culture beginning in the 1850s. Sweatshops can produce many different goods, from clothing to furniture.
its easy to cut and paste from wikipedia. i was asking for your definition of sweatshop. from above definition, there is no mention of quality assurance, so can i assume the quality from a sweatshop and regular factory are the same?

for example, Nike sneakers have long been produced in so-called "sweatshops," but does that make it lesser quality?

i know i sound argumentative, and i know you were being sarcastic. however, sweatshops are no joke

Exactly, you sound argumentative, but you have no real premise for an argument.

however, sweatshops are no joke
They can be.

You need to need to pull your emotional investment out of this X02 exhaust business and stop reacting like it was a personal attack - It wasn't.

You're reading too far into what I said and you're filling in gaps by creating moot assumptions.

I'm sure goods coming from sweatshops are of varying quality, just like many other business organizations in many other industries.

ace04,

i would like to write that in no way, do i take your comments as a personal attack.

first, your comment about the quality of the x02 knock-off was that it looked like it was made from a sweatshop. and yet, in your last post, you write goods coming from sweatshops are of varying quality.

second, how can sweatshops be a joke? even after copying the entire wiki definition of sweatshop, you still think it is comedic?

if so, i guess it comes down to a matter of taste, some have it, some dont.

You just don't get it... You're drawing a wrong inference somehow. None of my comments mentioned anything about the quality of X02.

I get it! but don't know a better way of explaining it...I guess halcyon has some sweatshop experience or a bit touchy in that area.

For the rust I've read about people using VHT and Duplicolor clear coat spray. Its a flameproof high tempurature clear coat thats intended to be used on engine parts and exhaust system to protect against rust. I plan on spraying my entire X02 system with that once I get it and should take care of the rust issue.

****, you're right. I wonder what happened?

Here's something else I found.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infin...mZ190251511534

It's looks like a replica of the Topspeed N1 or Tanabe Concept G exhaust...

http://www.thenismoshop.com/ikorb.ph...roduct_id=1559

I wonder what it sounds like?

I msg'd them asking if they were going to relist any..haven't heard back yet.

May buy it from one of the other vendors...feedback isn't as good, so not a fan of that. we'll see.

On that other exhaust. I worry since the N1 is pretty loud. and I want the "TD"

They said the exhaust will be back in 10 days, as they are currently sold out...so at least they will be back...for those who want it.

I got mine a bit over a week ago from EB on Ebay. Its listed as a KCR brand but, looks just like the X02 and HKS hi-power. It sounds great outside idiling and driving, but drones a bit for my taste. Ive gotten used to it but, wished it was quieter in cabin.

That looks real sexy. Have you encountered any problems? Rusting?
