https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...e-install.html

You could also:

1) Buy a used exhaust from the marketplace or the Facebook parts page
2) Buy a new Invidia Gemini ($800-$900)

Can someone chime in please, I not sure which 11386 X pipe size to get, if 2.25 or 2.5 because the descriptions on all these systems say different. I'm assuming if the ID is as they say of 2.275 the OD should be 2.5? Or if in fact its 2.5 all the way through...

Default HKS replica

Hey new to everything forum related. I bought my exhaust from these guys:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUAL-PATH-STAINLESS-4-5-BURN-TIP-CATBACK-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-FOR-350Z-INFINITI-G35-/191163010156?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3A350Z&hash=item2c82340c6c
I ordered this Magnaflow from amazon:

Amazon.com: Magnaflow 11385 Stainless Steel 2.5" Oval Muffler: Automotive Amazon.com: Magnaflow 11385 Stainless Steel 2.5" Oval Muffler: Automotive

Had a muffler shop weld on my old exhaust tips and install the system. I have to go through a long tunnel on the way to class and it sounds wicked.

Depends on your exhaust. Is it a 2.25 or 2.5. If it's a 2.275 get the 2.25 x-pipe. .025" is very little and will fit no problem. I have that set up on my Z.

Here's what mine looks like during installation and after. The tips sit perfect and are about 1/4" away from my bumper. The sound is nice and deep with little to no drone at all.

The exhaust is fairly quiet when cruising and loud when you get on it. As you can see in the picture the H-pipe was left on. I told him to remove that whole section and replace it with the Magnaflow, but I guess he didn't hear me..but it seems to be fine with it on.

The fitment was a little off they had to adjust the right pipe with the can a little bit for it to fit, but it wasn't anything major.

As for power, there may be a VERY small increase in the lower end, but it's nothing major at all.

Sorry for the crappy phone pictures, it's all I got.

Update: The exhaust is leaking from everywhere it seems like..worse one is from the left flange where it connects to the cat. This shop I went to did a horrible job at installing..I made a mistake by taking someone's recommendation.

The shop will not be disclosed, unless you live in my town then I will tell you. I also don't want them to touch my car again since the way they treated it while I was there was a nightmare if you love your car. There was a lot of excessive touching and no hands were washed when my car was backed off the rack. My steering wheel, door, shift ****, pretty much everything that was touched was just oily, greasy and dirty.

I will be taking it else where to people more experienced and look the part to get it fixed. Lesson learned, don't let guys who look your age work on your car if you're young.

do you know who the vender is? or where to get the actual X02 exhaust from?

Sorry Quicksilver I forgot about this thread. The vendor was k2motor. After I got the exhaust fixed everything is great now. Sounds much better and there is some low end gains that can be felt.

If its not beat up aka your not lowered you could probably get like 100-150 out of it on the facebook group. Especially if your around someone then they don't have to wait on shipping and they get it a little cheaper.

Default What brand is this exhaust??

This exhaust came with my 05 350z base. The original owner did several mods on this car. I am not sure what mods I have. I know the RUFF wheels are not popular but I am OK with them for now... I have and do use the search before I ask any questions.
Thanks
OZ

I will go out on a limb here and say it is probably the X02 exhaust, also known as the HKS replica.
