Stock exhuast with Nismo Midpipe???

Default Stock exhuast with Nismo Midpipe???

Hi guys, i was just think today about this idea!!
Just like what title says, do you guys think there is gonna be a benefit from exchanging the Y-pipe and mid-pipe with nismo and leaving the stock exhuast???
Exhaust gurus please help!!!

The mid-pipes of the stock exhaust and the Nismo are different. The mufflers are also different. So, these pieces aren't interchangeable. Only the y-pipe is. Sorry to burst your bubble.

ahhh cross that idea.. how about just fabricating a 3 inch straight mid-pipe??

You can do whatever you want. It's all up to you. Just make sure that you don't go from a bigger diameter piping to a smaller one (you can go from small to big, though), or you'll lose power due to interference in the airflow.

The midpipe will not bolt on to the stock muffler due to the angle of this pipe. Circled in red. The stock piece is angled and points much lower.

You could perhaps get the stock pipe cut-off and another rewelded to make it work, but probably not worth the trouble. Still, I'm considering doing this to my NISMO muffler depending on the price.

How much do you guys think this would cost?

Another option would be getting a custom midpipe as mentioned which would probably be easier.
