They are built differently.
As mentioned earlier, TurboXS is a Single to dual type exhaust : cats - y pipe - seperate mufflers/tips and Bassani is a true dual: cats - seperate pipes - (may include X or H pipe for mixing of exhaust pulses) - seperate mufflers/tips
This is why True duals with X-pipes, single to dual outlets, and singles sound similar to each other with that distinctive VQ growl we all have come to love so dearly. This is due to the fact that you hear the sound of all 6 cylnders comming out of the Muffler/mufflers. True duals with out x pipes like the HKS high power and Injen track SES sound different, since you only get the sound of three cylnders comming out of each muffler. There are some among us who have had X pipes added on to these systems. Any one who has heard them knows what I am talking about.

Im not bashing on the Bassini, It is a great looking and sounding exhaust. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. It definetly is one of the top 3 sounding exhaust for the Z out there. If i hadnt gotten a great deal on my F.I., I probably would have jumped on this exhaust quick.

Sounds great. I actually think it does sound raspy, but in a good way. Then again, I love the note of the S54.

Took a lot of work but I finally managed to find a place to order it from that actually had this exhaust. Tracking # says it should be here by the 19th. Now I just need to purchase a Z to put it on

Awesome first clip!

People are still saying that I will be happier with the FI exhaust! I just don't know!

I am only going cat back so the decision is very hard!

The FI looks better I think. The thing that makes me still consider the FI is on his site he has tried 6 or 9 (I think) exhausts and he said he had to make one to sound right and a lot of people are agreeing with him. FI also has a great reputation. I don't want rasp or drone at all. Is this my exhaust?

what is the strange gurgling noise at 2:11-2:14 and again at 2:22-2:25? just resonance or the engine at low rpms? i have an 04, so i am not familiar with the sound of the HR engine.

Now how many of you guys who have the bassani installed have a burning smell? I am assuming its just residual oil left over to protect it and all that jazz

Just saw this exhaust in person and i think it is "crap." Poorly built exhaust, looks like someone mickey moused everything. Welds were horrible, i had never seen such a thing! Also, crushed bent? Who does that and who pays a substantial amount of cash for that?
