what tool do i need to install (HFC,exhaut and spacer)
hi all ,
first thing to know that this will be my first time to work under a real car (my experience is fixing n tunning RC cars engine) .
i`m thinking of installing Berk HFC and APS 2.5 true dual exhaust on my `05 350Z ,so what are the tool`s that i need to do that ? every thing i`ll start from scratch (tool size`s(1" to 5.5" like that ) ,jack ,jack stands , boards ,lubricant (PB Blaster or WD40?) ,wrench ,thread lock if needed (how much should i use ? ) ......etc) i know the name`s from the threads but i did searched for those i came up with alot of options witch one should i get ?
so if you guys can help me with a list (pic`s if possible that would be a dream come true)
and if there is a steps i should follow to do that (first HFC then down pips then muff .... if that would make a difference)
i`v searched about installing exhaust i found a lot of bad experience like this one :
https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/357773-my-failed-invidia-n1-install-exhaust-work-ftmfl.html
what should i do to avoid that
or should i just take it to a shop ?????????? (please don`t let me down guys

For exhaust,
2-3 foot extension.
14mm short, deep and swivel
14mm wrench
Breaker bar
And don't use thread lock on exhaust bolts. You can use lock washers if you want.
For spacer.
All tools are listed in the installation manual.

None of it is complicated. It just takes a little time and patience.
You've already seen the problems people can run into, so now you know half the battle. Use a lot of spray lubricant before starting.
Even if you feel a little nervous starting, its really easy stuff. You'll be glad you did it.

you need at minimum:
some nice long extensions,
a flashlight
a friend
to install HFC
the tools ,the HFC and 2Pac CD mmmmm

i think i`m all set to install the HFC
but i have to make sure of one thing :
is this the metallic HFC ?? its white from the insaid !!!!

as you see in Berk Technology site they show both kinds (i think the black one is the metallic)

or they are showing a used one ??

The white stuff on the foil is the actual catalyist material. Its a mixture of ceramic and nano size particles of platinum, palladium, rhodium and other precious metals.
You can't see the precious metal particles because they are so small but the white stuff is the ceramic portion of what cleans your exhaust gasses.
All that stuff starts out as a slurry that is sprayed onto the substrate, dried and fired in a kiln.
