Default Main Difference Between These Type Of Pipes?

I am looking at getting new pipes for my car. It's an manual 04 Roadster. I want to get a full cat back system. I am only ever going to do a CAI + Exhaust but I want it to sound great.

My question is between a Nismo style set up or a Injen/HKS True Dual exhaust. The Nismo has an end can that is in the style of the stock setup and the True Dual ones have two pipes that meet in the middle then go into their own separate mufflers for each side.

Am I right to assume the the true dual system is a lot louder than the one with the big single endcan with dual tips?

If you aren't going to mod the engine which style would you go for? I like a great sound not raspy or with heaps of drone.

Thanks!

Hi, I don't mean a single exhaust. I mean two separate pipe with their own mufflers/endcan like the true dual or a Nismo style which is still a dual setup but they both go into the one muffler that has two tips on it.

Thanks,

I'm kinda confused what you're asking.

What is the difference between a true dual and an exhaust that has a Y-Pipe with a single canister?

Is that what you mean?

I mean this type of pipe set up like a Nismo with a single end can with dual tips coming out that is in the style of the stock setup

Vs

a Injen/HKS True Dual set up like this

Best pics I can find at the moment.

I am thinking of either going NISMO or Fast Intentions. Which do you guys think?

I saw this exhaust and it looks great. Please post a sound clip in here when you are done. How much was it? Why did you choose that over a NISMO?

(PS Sorry Darkness but I pinched your pic for my first post because it explained what I was after better than the one I had)

Some members prefer two mufflers.

Some members prefer one big muffler with a lot of 90 degree bends.
